Jersey Girls Tryouts May 2, 2010 - It's a honor to represent NJ at the US Lacrosse Festival! NJJGLL is sponsoring two teams to participate in the U-13 and U-15 National Youth Festivals. This year US Lacrosse is hosting the festivals in Kings Island, OH for the U13 teams June 11-13 and Fort Ann, NY for the U15 teams June 18-20. These festival teams are not summer league teams, they are a one time chance to play with girls from all over the country in a festival setting. Teams sent to the US Lacrosse festivals represent highly skilled players who showcase their talents for their state teams. Teams practice 4 -5 times before the festival and must be available for the festivals on the dates above. The cost to participate is approximately $300 - uniform, coaching fees,team registration and lodging. Transportation is extra. (It is not a summer league) Pre-registration is preferred but Walk-ins ARE accepted. The tryouts are set for Sunday May 2 at Summit Metro Home Fields, 1-39 Butler Parkway, Summit, NJ U-13 Participant Information and Age Definition - All current US Lacrosse members who meet the age requirements and have never played in high school play are encouraged to contact their local chapter regarding the U-13 National Youth Festival. Players may not be 13 years of age on or before December 31, 2009 to be eligible for the 2010 US Lacrosse U-13 National Youth Festival. Accordingly, players that turn 13 after December 31, 2009 are eligible. Regardless of age, no player who has competed at the high school level is eligible to participate in the U-13 National Youth Festival. 9th GRADERS are not allowed to participate no matter what the situation. U-15 Participant Information and Age Definition - All current US Lacrosse members who meet the age requirements and have never played in high school play are encouraged to contact their local chapter regarding the U-15 National Youth Festival. Players may not be 15 years of age on or before December 31, 2009 to be eligible for the 2010 US Lacrosse U-15 National Youth Festival. Accordingly, players that turn 15 after December 31, 2009 are eligible. Regardless of age, no player who has competed at the high school level is eligible to participate in the U-15 National Youth Festival. 9th GRADERS are not allowed to participate no matter what the situation. Reminder: A player may only participate only once at this age level.
